  • Notes
  • The Siemens V23804-E2-T5 200 MBaud Optoelectronic Receiver was manufactured in the early 1990s by the Siemens Electromechanical Components (EC) and Fibre Optic Components (LWL) facility at Wernerwerkdamm 16, Berlin. The receiver converts 1300 nm optical digital signals to differential ECL 100K-compatible electrical signals and includes a Signal-Detect function for link monitoring. It uses an InGa/InP photodiode and is housed in a hermetic 20-pin DIL metal package with an ST receptacle. The receiver operates with a single 5 V power supply (Vee grounded), but an alternative version could also be supplied for operation with a -5 V supply (Vcc grounded).

A third version of the receiver was fitted with an SMA instead of an ST receptacle. That model only operates from a 5 V supply.
