    The CDR48A series disk recording equipment has been designed to meet the demand for a rugged and versatile system for combined mobile and studio use.

    It offered a complete service for sound recording and reproduction.

    Mobile, static, and specialised recording units.

    It contained recording amplifiers, speakers, microphones, etc. Sapphire cutting and reproducing styli.

    Blank recording discs from Sin. to I7in.

    Single and Double-sided groove locating and cueing devices.

     A comprehensive range of accessories to meet every requirement of the sound recording engineer.

     Development of special interest to users of sapphire and delicate pickups, THE SIMTROL. This is a controlled micromovement easily fitted for use with any type of pickup.

    The CDR48A recorder unit, complete and self-contained, incorporating a 7-valve amplifier, recorder unit, lightweight pick-up, speaker, and microphone, and with many exclusive features, is now ready for early delivery.

    Earlier versions of this disc recorder were used by BBC war correspondents from 1941.
