  • The Active Filter Unit is part of the Sinclair Project 60 range launched in 1970.

For use between Stereo 60 unit and two Z30s or Z50s and is easily mounted. It is unique in that the cut-off frequencies are continuously variable, and as attenuation in the rejected band is rapid (1 2dB/octave), there is less loss of the wanted signal than has previously been possible. Amplitude and phase distortion are negligible. The unit is suitable for use with any other amplifier system.
Two stages of filtering are incorporated - rumble (high pass) and scratch (low pass).

    SPECIFICATIONS:

Voltage gain at 1 kHz (Filters 0): 0.98 (-0.2 dB)
    Frequency response (Filters 0) : -3 dB @ 25 Hz and 28 kHz
      -1 dB @ 35 Hz and 20 kHz
    Distortion at 1 kHz & 250 mV rms out : 0.02 % with 35 V supply
HF cutoff -3 dB: Variable between 28 kHz & 5 kHz
LF cutoff -3 dB: Variable between 25 Hz & 100 Hz
