The Sparton model 110 AC is probably Sparton's first AC radio. It is a battery radio adapted for AC. Sparton used non-standard Kellogg/McCullough 401 type tubes for which Sparton made their own version, The Cardon C-401. The Kellogg has heater connections at the top of the tube and the Cardon tubes have the heater pins on the side of the base. The model 110 AC (not to mixup with the later 110 Equasonne with quite a different circuit) was made in two versions: A console for $ 360 and a table cabinet model for $ 260. They have 5 receiving tubes plus a rectifier, two dial control.
