The text of a Sparton flier from 1928 reads: "This perfectly balanced Equasonne built-in cabinet speaker produces a deep, resonant tone of wonderful volume."
It is mainly made for the Sparton Equasonne model 69, which then in 1928 had cost $ 199.50 as the combination. The model 69 could also be bought as open cabinet set (without speaker) for $ 147. See also the article here about different radio seasons.
