       An all-purpose B/C receiver operating from a solar cell or four 1.5V cells. Has seven transistors, one germanium diode and one Thermistor, housed in polystyrene cabinet in ivory, burgundy, black, grey; grey front, burgundy back; burgundy front, grey back; gold anodised handle, matching trim.
       Features: Solar cell fitted in top of receiver, permits operation of set in normal sunlight without batteries. Inbuilt ferrite rod aerial; switch allows changeover to special aerial coil for car operation via external coaxial aerial connection. Battery operation from four Eveready type 935 (1.5V)  (C) cells. Speaker Rola 5F.
       Controls: right hand - on-off/volume, station selector; left hand - function switch, portable/car/solar cell.
       Dials: "Full Vision" front-mounting all-States dial for portable or domestic receiver use; independent dial for use as car radio.
       Receiver available less solar cell.

    This radio incorporated 12 silicon solar cells for power when in sunlight. They were type 120C from Hoffman Electronics Corp. measuring 1 x 2 cm and producing 0.4V @ 30 mA.  This model could also be used in a car when slid into a special under dash cradle.  When so used, the radio was powered from its dry cells, not the car battery, but it used the car aerial.
