TEAC Stereo Tape Recorder with Automatic Reverse model A400S
- Recorder A4000 includes the mechanical tape transport and the playback amplifier.
It requires the amplifier Teac RA-40 that includes recording amplifiers and Bias Oscillator. Series A4000 and A4000S appear in 1966. Series A4010 and A4010S
appear in 1967 with small improvements; Series A4010 GSL appears in 1973 dealing
with the new tape SLH.
The two unities are connected by 2 RCA cables and two multi wire cables and multi contact connectors.
The integrated system A4000 and RA-40 is labelled as A4010.
