  • Bemerkung
  • Tentel is a leading company for Tape Tension Gauges and they call them Tentelometer. Since this is not real direct radio related, we keep products together here like T2-M30-P, T2-M40-8, T2-H7-UM, T2-H7-SLC, T2-H15-SLC, T2-H5-SLCB, T2-H5-D3, T2-H7-D, T2-H20-ML, T2-H18-CBD, T2-H20-1, T2-H20-2 and the "special Tentelometer models: T2-H15-UM, T2-H7-UMC, T2-H7-SLCX, T2-H12-1, T2-H20-D1, T2-H20-MLX3, T2-H12-2, T2-H20-D2, T2-H20-MLD, T2-H7-CB, T2-H18-CB and T2-H20-BSCX which are still on sale in January 2011. They cost around 445 USD up to 1345 USD.

Here just a company text about Tentelometers: "Tentelometer tape tension gauges are fast, accurate, and easy to use! Tension can be measured at various points in the tape transport to diagnose sources of tension problems. Gauges are universal, durable, and calibration can easily be checked in the field. Units are available to suit virtually any tape transport application. Tentelometers are sold and used throughout the world and have become the "standard of reference" for tape tension measurements.
The Tentelometer was recognized by the International Television Association (ITVA) and recieved their prestigious annual "Golden Reel - Technical Achievement Award".
Tentelometers vary primarily by their scale range, probe configuration, and the dynamic tension damping characteristics. "Normal" gauges (non-damped) can follow oscillating tensions accurately to 7 Hz.
Viscously damped gauges will average an oscillating tension and will limit the response to 0.5 Hz. Viscous damping is generally recommended when tape speeds exceed 150 i.p.s.
Often a unit can be obtained to do more than one application."
