- Modelo: Station indentification machine - Tomcsányi Béla; Budapest
- Anotaciones
- Mr.Béla Tomcsányi (1897-1950)had developed and fabricated this station indentification machine upon the request of the Hungarian Radio Broadcasting Company. The clockwork-fed mechanism worked similar to musical clocks. It was a major breakthrough that plunked metal tongues resonated in a mmagnetic circuit and henceelectric signals could -with microphone conversion- directly land on the music line after triode-based amplification. The device was so succesful that orders had been placed by a number of European radio broadcast stations and it was in use until the coming of magnetic voice recording applicatins. The tune on the barrel was composed by Tibor Polgár.
