Ionisation tester with a variable output voltage from 0-10kV at 0-200uA.
EHT is generated by a valve oscillator operating at 100kHz. The oscillator output is transformed up to 10kV and rectified. The output is monitored by a vacuum tube voltmeter.
A three stage valve audio amplifier is also incorporated to monitor the onset of ionisation on components under test.
