There is an extra tube socket located on the chassis of this model next to the large electrolytic capacitor. A 0A2 or VR-150 tube may be inserted into the tube socket, which will improve the performance of the power supply. Details of this are described in the user manual for the radio.

I have a Trio 9R-59D and am wondering what the difference is between a 9R-59DS, a 9R-59DE and a 9R-59D (which I have). By the way, it was purchased in Canada.

Hallo Forum,
ich habe seit kurzem das o.a. Gerät. Also nicht die Exportversion für Europa sondern die originale für den japanischen Markt für 115 Volt. Ich werde aber aus der knappen englischen Anleitung nicht recht schlau daraus, wie die Bandspreizung auf den Amateurfunkbändern funktioniert. Kann mir da jemand zufällig weiterhelfen?
