The circuit board forms the chassis of this radio with two seperate sub-chassis for the speaker and tuning gang. The case is tooled (embossed) leather with fibre board reinforcing to the flat sections. Transistors are "TEN" brand. There is a ferrite rod antenna 150 by 10 mm. A diode is shown on the circuit diagram as the detector but has no part number or designation marked on it. The circuit diagram is pasted to the inside rear of the case but has no component values, voltages or part numbers.
Some resistors have modern colour coding but others are grey or cream paint dipped with no values indicated.
The radio was advertised for sale through Radio House Sydney (Australia) at £19/17/6 in the December 1960 edition of Electronics Australia.
Weight is without batteries. The battery is a PP3 held in a special purpose carrier by a spring steel clip.
