Described by seller as 1930s Philips.
The cabinet is from a Burndept 201 (1935). The scale appears to match Ekco U353, despite seller description as a Philips, none found even close. (Wave change on tuning knob and vertical Magic Eye between volume control and tuning scale). However the top knob hole of the Burndept case has a badge too blurred to read. The rear has Licence label from a Mullard/Philips Radio or the Burndept because it used Mullard Valves (tubes).
Assumimg Ekco U353 Chassis:
Magic Eye (DM70) filament powered from tap on UL84 pair of cathode resistors.
Consumption: 45W approxBands
- LW: 1154 ... 2000 m
- MW: 183 ... 555 m
- VHF: 85.5 ... 101.5 MHz

I don't think it's a "fraud" attempt as it's obvious an FM radio and a radio with vertical rather than round magic eye isn't 1930s. I think the rear label has been misread and "Mullard Valves" typed as "Multivalve".
The Ekco U363 has an easily broken case. If the Burndept chassis was scrap, or the DIY person obtained an empty case or the Conversion involved scrapping a restorable Burndept 201 I think is something we can only guess at.
It was also offered a starting price worth paying just for the included table, so maybe good value?
