Hello,
This is my first attempt at adding information to a radio receiver description. I also have a Tulan radio very much like the one pictured. The cabinet appears to be identical to the Blaupunkt 4W77, but the tube or valve line up is different. The tubes used in mine are EK3, EF9, EBC3, EL3, EM1 and AZ1. I have seen another model which uses either an ECH3 or an ECH4 instead of the EK3. I bought an EL3 tube from a man in Sofia Bulgaria and he helpfully gave me the following internet address where I could get additional information on the Tulan company. It was located in Burgas Bulgaria and according to the web site functioned from 1927 to 1944. The web site address is: http://www.kn34pc.com/sch/sch_rx/rx_tulan.html. I have looked at it several times without any problem. Please note there are two _'s in the address that may be covered up by the underline. The first is between sch and rx and the second is between rx and tulan. The site is run by Mr. Ivan Species of Burgas. He has numerous photographs and has included links to hand drawn schematics of his radio. I hope this information is helpful.
Yours truly,
John Hand
