  • Notes
  • The DeepElec DP-666 receiver is developed in China and distributed worldwide by DeepElec. It is one of several commercial and DIY projects based on the PE5PVB TEF6686_ESP32 open source project. Currently (Oct-2024), the radio is being shipped with a DeepElec open source firmware forked from the original PE5PV that is not supporting the LCD Touchscreen, although a Beta version of the PE5PV and another proprietary Megatron test version are both supporting it.

    Brief technical details

    PCB assembly reference "Mini6686 V2.5"

The radio is built around the MXP F8602 TEF6686HN (v102) DSP tuner chip, managed by one ESP32-WROOM-32U dual Core with integrated 4MB SPI Flash and Wi-Fi+BT module, a XL9555 GPIO Expander, a XPT2046 Touch Screen Controller, and a CH340N USB-UART bridge controller.

The 4Ω, 3W 45mm sealed cavity speaker is driven by a TI2B AYK/TPA6211A1 mono fully differential audio power amplifier and a +AIF/MAX97220AETE+ differential input direct drive headphone amplifier is used for the 3.5mm stereo jack.

The power supply and control usess several other active devices, like a TP4056 Battery charger, three DE=/RT9193-33PB LDO regulators, a A5SHB/SI2305 P-MOSFET, and a Y1/SS8050 NPN transistor.
