    Brief technical details

There are at least two PCB assembly versions, a "2023.07.20 RD-239-A-V1.5" and a "20240122  RD-239-A-V1.61". This analysis covers the later version.

The receiver uses a AKC6958 DSP (IC4) and a 2SC3356-R25. (Q1) in the RF front-end for the telescopic/external antenna used by all bands except for AM(MW). A LTK5802 audio power amplifier (IC1) drives the 4 Ohm, 3 Watt speaker. There is a down converter for the Air Band using two 2SC3356-R25 NPN RF transistors, one 2TY/S8550 PNP, and two RS2057 SPDT Analog Switches. A CXXC14B5C media player (IC3) manages the radio. Several devices handles the power supply and control functions, like a 4056A battery charger (IC5), a P14C1S over-voltage-protection (IC9), a TM74HC595 shift register (IC6),a  two XC6206P332MR/662K LDO regulators (IC7, IC8), a S8050/J3Y NPN (Q2), a SI2301 P-MOSFET (Q4), and two S9014/J6 NPN (Q5, Q6).
