  • Two voltage tapping adjustments, model CN396A has 3 tappings.

    From 1950 the DL94 is used instead of 3V4 (possibly only CN396A). Early models may use all Brimar / US designation types and later models the Dx9x types.

    The ERT service sheet defines four versions of the CN396 / CN396A. There are at least three arrangements of aerial coil wiring (parallel, series and separate). There are two kinds of mains transformer used. The chassis is isolated and at least one kind of transformer used has an inter-winding screen that can be connected to earth on a three core mains cable.
