• Rexine type material on plywood with plastic grill, handle and knobs.

  Similar chassis and style to earlier Gala CN421 and Royal Ascot CN427, but possibly a cost reduced scale cover. These models use a higher capacity type of battery pack compared to the smaller attache sets.

  Weight excludes battery packs, the larger L5536 90V HT (Ever Ready B138) and L5060 7.5V LT (Ever Ready AD43). HT about 180 hrs and LT perhaps 90 Hrs. Obviously the lower capacity B126 (about 1/3) and AD38 (about 1/2) will actually connect, fit and work.

  WARNING!
  As with the nearly identical Gala CN421 and Royal Ascot CN427 the chassis can be live during mains operation as it's a resistive dropper with chassis direct to one mains wire. The mains should be on a socket attached to rear panel, thus automatically disconnected when the rear door is open, however sometimes these have been later removed, which makes the set very dangerous. The mains / battery operation selection is an internal switch.

  Built in loop aerial for MW and LW.
