  • Modell: Radio H. T. Battery L5038 - Vidor Ltd.; Erith Kent
  • Abmessungen (BHT)
  • 208 x 75 x 166 mm / 8.2 x 3 x 6.5 inch
  • Bemerkung
  • Probably 80 x Zinc Carbon cells. Type depends on size

Connection is by a socket at each end and flying leads with small plugs for + and - or various taps. None of this series use layer cells / "Biscuits", all use separate cells with connection wiring.

Equivalents: Ever Ready Winner 120, Drydex H1006, GEC BB720, Oldham Green Band 120, Siemens H120

No Grid bias tap on this model.

    Weight is an estimate!

On the "Winner" and "Portable" series the low voltage is a GB (Grid Bias) tap, not an actual LT (Low Tension filament) cell(s). Though some used with "All Dry" sets from 1939 (e.g. Portable 61) the LT would usually have been rechargeable Lead Acid 2V cell.

On most older HT packs there are taps for various screen grid or earlier stage voltages as this was cheaper than resistors which were only easily very low value wire wound or very high value "grid leak".

This pack has taps at 48, 60, 70 and 108V
