  • Bemerkung
  • Western Electric 5-Valve Loudspeaker Assembly Set, A.131

The Western Electric 5-Valve Loudspeaker Assembly Set, model A.131, was designed to deliver clear and powerful audio reproduction of radio broadcasts from distances of up to 500-600 miles.
Capable of filling a large room or small hall with sound, this assembly comprised a Western Electric valve detector and tuner, a two-stage low-frequency amplifier, a loudspeaker amplifier, and a horn speaker mounted on a baseboard.

It was also advertised as a console version.

Powered by accumulators for filament and grid bias, and dry batteries for B+ supply, the A.131 was unveiled at the Western Electric stand during the Royal Easter Show in Sydney in April 1925.

While the core components were imported from Great Britain, the assembly and cabinet versions were likely adapted for the Australian market.
