The Western Air Patrol 1139 radio consists of a 10-tube, 3-band chassis, an eye tube, 8 pushbuttons, a 5-position bandswitch, a built-in rotating loop antenna, two auxilliary RCA inputs, and a 12-inch electro-dynamic speaker. The 8 pushbuttons include 2 tone control buttons and 6 station presets.
The five positions on the band switch are as follows:
1. A band - broadcast 550kHz - 1700kHz
2. B band - shortwave 1.7MHz - 5.5MHz
3. C band - shortwave 5.5MHz - 18MHz
