  • New Bronze Loudspeaker.

The 1934 Wharfedale Bronze speaker featured a nickel-aluminium alloy magnet, providing efficiency comparable to mains-energized units and improved response, especially in the bass.

Its redesigned cone with freer suspension lowered the bass resonance to 75 Hz, while increased magnetic flux ensured proper resonance damping. The speaker exhibited a uniform middle register and a gradual rise of around 3,200 Hz without harshness. High-frequency response remained strong up to 7,000 Hz, producing a balanced and satisfying sound.

The speaker included a universal impedance-matching transformer (1.5 to 11 ohms and 1,000 to 20,000 ohms) priced at 42s. 6d.

This is an improved version of the 1932 Bronze Standard Speaker
