- The Wilcox Laboratories advertised a series of standardized unit panels in a November 1921 QST magazine. Two Variometer panels, a Variocoupler panel and a detector panel comprised a complete regenerative receiver. The Variocoupler tuned the antennae circuit, one of the variometers was placed in the grid circuit and the other variometer went in the plate circuit for regeneration control. This set tuned the 175-450 meters wavelength range.
