Yaesu VHF-Transceiver FT-221. 2-m-HAM-band from 144 to 148 MHz in eight 500 kHz ranges plus 8 × 11 xtal-channels. Modes AM, FM, SSB, CW. Pout 10 W (AM 2.5 W). In FM-mode double-conversion, 2nd IF 455 kHz.
Later "R"-version have modified frequency-offset-control for FM-repeater operation and few minor changes on back-panel.
In Europe also sold under Sommerkamp label.
The british Mutek-company sold a hight performance front-end board for this venerable RIG (Design by Ian White, G3SEK).
