- Notes
- The model 58 or exact 12A58 "Baby Stratosphere" is the same as model "Baby Stratosphere" 12L58. 12L57 and 12L58 share the same schematic Rider's 7-23 through 7-25, Chassis 1202 and 1202A. The Rider's master index (1947) lists also the models 12A57 (with a centered medallion in the speaker grille) and 12A58 for the same schematics but on the schematics there is no indication of this. The same applies for Beitman (page 1-235).
All these models have dual Electro Magnetic Dynamic loudspeakers (moving-coil with field excitation coil). Long wave is 150 to 370 kc, Broadcast is 550 to 1740, SW 2000 to 7000 kc and 7 mc to 22.5 mc. The two 6F6 are in push-pull, the 6C5 in parallel after a 6C5 as pre amplifier. One 6C5 works for the Shadowgraph. The rectifier tubes can also be 5Z4.
In Stein, "Pre-War Consoles" 2000 you find the picture of the 16A61 on page 221 for these models "58". The picture 16A61 on page 222 is the 12A58 and 12L58.
