Developed around the new subminiature tubes in 1942, its production would not commence due to stop of commercial production during WWII. However, government permission was granted in 1943 for the production even in wartime! The reason was that there were about ten million people hard of hearing in the country who were unable to serve in the military. But they were able to work in war production facilities if they had a hearing aid.
The A2A was a two-piece hearing aid and needed external batteries, see also model A2A early.
