  • The Arcolectric S.L.82 Signal Lamp Holder (British Army VAOS Ref. ZA4201) was used in a great variety of civil and WW II military equipment, ranging from the EOL indicator in the Creed 44 keyboard perforator to the power-on lamps of the R109 and WS No. 52 receivers and the 10S/16149 Noise Generator. It was also specified for use in home-built models, such as a 1961 Practical Wireless signal generator.

The lamp holder mounts in a panel or chassis with a 7/8" diameter centre hole and fixing screws spaced 1 3/8" apart. It contains an MES bulb holder, and the bulb can be replaced by unscrewing the front lens. Transparent and translucent front lenses were available in a variety of colours. The insulation was flash tested at 1.5 kV AC.
