  • Anotaciones
  • The Baltic EGO is a variant of the Super 20 with a somewhat different line-up. After the 1st AF amplifier, the set has an additional 2-valve push-pull output amplifier to increase the loudspeaker drive power. The total number of valves in the set remains seven, because it has two IF amplifiers instead of three, and the separate local oscillator and mixer valves of the Super 20 are replaced by a single Radiotechnique twin-grid Micro-Bigril valve.

As a result of these changes the layout of the components is different, notably in the front-end area, and there are three IF transformers instead of four, and three iron-cored AF transformers instead of one (which increases the weight of the set). Because of the push-pull AF output transformer, the loudspeaker is isolated from the HT supply.

    Valve complement:

    Micro-Bigril Frequency changer

    A425 1st IF amplifier

    A409 2nd IF amplifier

    A409 Detector

    R75 AF amplifier

    B406 (2) Push-pull AF output amplifier

    Coverage: 200-600m and 1000-2000m
