  • Ferry Professional tape recorder - three heavy duty motors, 19-inch rack and panel mounting. Three speed with a sleeve on the capstan, 15, 7 1/2 and 3 3/4 ips, with-out the sleeve on the capstan 7 1/2, 3 3/4 and 1 7/8 ips. the tone controls worked during record as well as play. The pickup or aux input could be mixed with the microphone input, and the monitor speaker had volume control for monitoring. The amplifier was push-pull, valves, with an output of 7 watts. Jack Ferry never quoted frequency response unless he had to - his comment was "if it sounds good to your ears, buy it". Made in 1956 or 1957. Owned by Dr John Stace and then donated by Mr D. Flint.
