• A difficult radio to identify.

  There are 8 passive component changes from the 89-13 chassis used in model 41-37 and the case still has 41-37 cast in and the circuit diagram included in the case rear also is for the 41-37. The designation 41-37A is on the cardboard piece with the serial number and chassis identification which is attached to the circuit board with one rivet. The only other identification means is by reverse engineering the circuit and comparing the 41-37A schematic with that for the 41-37/40/41. A clue is that one or more components may be mounted on the copper side of the board.

  An alternative transistor component set is OC170 OC169 OC169 OC75 OC74 OC74. The output transistors are not listed as a "Matched Pair" but there is no provision for small bias adjustments.

  Weight is without battery.
