- Notes
- The Philco model 623 series uses a 6-tube 3-band chassis with battery power supply. The standard 623 chassis uses a 2 volt storage battery for the A supply, while the 623A chassis has an additional type 6 ballast tube in series with the A supply for use with a dry A battery (presumably 3 V).
There are four individual models with different cabinet styles. The early version (1935) of model 623B is a shouldered tombstone. The late version (1936) of 623B is a simple rectangular tombstone with rounded top corners. Model 623F (1935-36) is a floor-type console with a tulip pattern for the speaker opening. Model 623K (1936) is another console design with a slightly tapered (trapezoidal) profile.
