• Reaction coils with fixed position; feedback regulated by C13. Grid Detection done by first tube E438, which is shielded to neutralize the magnetic field of the loudspeaker.

  Model 938AS is provided with a filter on the rear panel for the suppression of strong, interfering local stations.

  Note: the original service manual lists a tube complement of E438, E438, C453 and 1823. This has been corrected to E438, E438, C443 and 506 later (errata). Both complements are interchangeable, for the differences between C453 and C443 (and 1823 and 506) see the notes on tube C453.
