This wireless receiver was developed in WWI to direct British artillery ground forces from special transmitter equipped planes from above the battlefield. It is capable of receiving wavelengths from 100 to 700 meters (3mHz - 430kHz). This receiver contains a buzzer which is used to adjust the detector. It has selections for three methods of detection: perikon crystal, carborundum crystal, or vacuum tube.
