  • Bemerkung
  • Batteries needed were a 7.5 volt "A" battery (No 717 or 3717) and a 90 volt "B" battery (No 490P or 3490P). The paperwork inside the case says that the radio "Incorporates automatic "B" battery recharging." but the method is in the "Instruction Book".

Mains rectification is by a half wave Selenium Rectifier and filament voltage is derived from the HT by dropping resistors.

There is a switch for selecting mains or battery power or OFF under the handle connector on one side of the radio. This switch is brass and apart from this, the radio would probably qualify as "Double Insulated" by modern standards.

A protector plate was installed between the batteries and the under-chassis components.
